Adding to My Film Studies Book Stash

You know I love good book. Anything having to do with Old Hollywood is usually my jam. Since the summer I have been collecting a variety of autobiographies and biographies to add to my personal film studies program that I am working on (albeit slowly) by myself. I added some more books to my stash that I wanted to share with you all in case you were looking for some good books to read. I bought them all used and it was a "buy three get one free" deal and I couldn't resist. I don't mind owning used books especially if they are in good condition.

I typically score my Old Hollywood books on Amazon or Ebay. Another great book source is the Larry Edmunds Bookshop in California. Sometimes they even sell Old Hollywood themed books that have been autographed by the author which I think is really neat. I have loads of books that I will be reviewing and sharing soon on my blog but if you want to find some Old Hollywood books you can shop HERE at the Larry Edmunds shop. It is a small business bookstore that has been around since 1938.

What do you think of my latest stash of Old Hollywood themed books? Are there any autobiographies or biographies that you have read and loved that you would like to recommend to me?

  1. On the newer side of things, I really loved "Phantom Lady: Hollywood Producer Joan Harrison, the Forgotten Woman Behind Hitchcock" by Christina Lane. And in terms of older ones, my two favorite Katharine Hepburn bios are definitely "Me" and "The Making of the African Queen: Or, How I Went to Africa with Bogart, Bacall and Huston and Almost Lost My Mind". :)
