After reviewing Rebel Without a Cause (1955) which you can read HERE, I wanted to share some behind the scenes photos of the film. I can't help but think how beautiful and young they all were. Looking at these photos makes me think that while making this film they must have forged some special friendships.

Which of these behind the scenes photos of Rebel Without a Cause (1955) is your favorite?

Can you imagine being on set and watching the iconic Bette Davis and Joan Crawford in their roles as Baby Jane and Blanche? I know there have many reports and speculations of the drama on set while filming this movie but at the end of the day it was about two huge stars doing what they did best.

Here are a few photos that give a behind the scenes look at What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962).  You can also read my review on this film HERE.

I just love looking at behind the scenes photos of films and tv shows because it gives a rare glimpse into what it was like to make a story come to life.  In a time before cell phones and social media, if we were lucky someone was walking around with a camera taking behind the scenes photos in order to document what was happening while making a film or tv show.

Here are a few photos that give a behind the scenes look at Jacques Demy's, The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (1964). You can also read my review on this film HERE.

Do you enjoy looking a behind the scenes photos of films or tv shows?

Behind the Scenes: Miracle on 34th Street (1947)

Christmas night I had a hankering for a classic Christmas story but one set in New York. I own a few classic Christmas themed films so I found  Miracle on 34th Street (1947), put it in my dvd player, and slipped blissfully into classic film heaven.

While watching the film I began to get curious about the making of the film and wondering if I could find interviews from the cast speaking about it in interviews. I couldn't find anything online at all. I do know that Maureen O'Hara is 94 now and although she does participate in some classic film events I haven't heard her thoughts and memories on this film either.

That made me think about behind the scenes photos and that if I found some perhaps it could give me an insight on what it may have been like during the making of it. I ended up finding a small handful and from what I can see it seemed like everyone got along well and doted on a very young Natalie Wood.

I love behind the scenes photos of films. In it way it gives a peak into what the experience of making it may have been like.

What classic film would you love to know more about? Did you watch any specific classic holiday film for Christmas day?

Yesterday I shared with you a spotlight on Psycho. Today I would like to share some behind the scenes photos of the filming of the movie. I think my favorite is the first one where Hitchcock is laughing with the two stars of his film. Just too adorable.
