3 Drool Worthy Sites That Will Leave You Penniless

I tend not to look at things I cannot afford because I just don't want to bum myself out or get tempted or lose a heap of money. But lately I discovered I have more self control than I thought I did and instead of getting bummed by not being able to afford some over the top pricey pieces, I find inspiration from their beauty.

I am going to share with you three incredible drool worthy sites that carry both modern and retro inspired stylish items such as handbags, sunglasses, dresses, shoes, umbrellas, you name it.

The first one is Kate Spade. I have been drooling over Kate Spade handbags since I was fifteen years old and I still don't own one. Out of the three sites I will share with you today, this one is the most affordable but it is still pricey.

Kate Spade is know for their high quality handbags and most recently for their kitschy handbags in the shape of trains, clocks, and popcorn boxes. They also sell sunglasses, jewelry, and clothing but to me Kate Spade will always be the go-to place for a well made handbag.

The second site is called Orla Kiely. They sell fragrances, handbags, clothing, shoes, umbrellas, and a few other fabulous items. To me, Orla Kiely items look like they are modern versions of 1950's and 1960's fashion. Very clean designs with a retro flare to them. Utterly breathtaking and I basically want everything in their shop!

Handbags here are double the price of the ones in Kate Spade but they are so pretty, practical, and vintagey. Just a delight to the eyes and I am sure the quality is very high.

My last drool worthy sight that is without a doubt going to leave you penniless is called Charlotte Olympia. The prices of their items are 4 to 8 times more expensive than the first two sights so why do I look? Take a peak at their items and you can see why I cannot resist looking, dreamy, and waiting to win the lottery.

Some of their items are equal to a mortgage payment on a house but its still beautiful and lovely to look at. Can't you just picture that High Five! hand shaped purse with a dazzling fancy 1940's gown or the Comic Clutch (aka Archie Clutch) with a pair of high waisted 1950's jeans and a cute top?

Just dreamy. And that is exactly what I will do. Keep them in my dreams and wait for a sale or a miracle to happen on ebay.

  1. Oh, Charlotte Olympia. The brand of my dreams. Someday, maybe, I'll be able to afford some of her shoes. Speaking of Olympia's, I love Olympia Le Tan. Such cute clothes and bags.

  2. That shift dress is amazing, I'm not even a cat person and I'd wear it in a heart beat. What amazing sites. I hope to some day be able to shop these sites, but alas, that day is very far off.

  3. I get my Kate Spade handbags at Lord and Taylor on the clearance rack and are actually quite cheap. I just bought one a few weeks ago to get me through winter:) I love Orla Kiely, I have a silk dress I also bought on sale off her website. Love the purse shaped like a hand!
