Last week my husband and I went on a little adventure to an area of Manhattan that has shops and eateries all dedicated to England. My first step was to score this London Bus dress by Cath Kidston. Cath Kidston is an English owned shop that is known for their incredible handbags but they also make some really pretty dresses.
When I saw this London Bus dress I knew I had to try and get it. I mean, its so me. And ladies I have no regrets. It is very well made and high quality. The dress is lined and has deep pockets. The material is thick enough to wear in the Fall but it is sleeveless so it can definitely be worn on warmer days as well. My only complaint is that it ran a wee big on top but since I plan to wear this dress with a cardigan on, I am able to work with it.
I paired it with some vintage jewelry; Moonglow bracelets, 1950's brooch, Lucite earrings, and Lucite necklace. I wore it with a cardigan purchased at Modcloth HERE and an amazing London Bus Pouch that I scored on Etsy.
Walking around the city in my London Bus dress felt so darn good. This dress is both comfortable and incredible to look at. Perfect combination in my book. Plus it fit the theme of our adventure.
In the next few posts I will share more about my fabulous London Bus pouch and the places I explored and now love.
Have you purchased anything by Cath Kidston? What was it? What do you think about the quality of their products?
What a fun outfit! :D
ReplyDeleteThat outfit is super fun. I didn't know that New York a little London area like that, that's really cool. I've only been to London once, but it was such a wonderful and memorable experience that I've wanted to live there ever since. Someday, maybe...
ReplyDeleteI haven't purchased anything from Cath Kidston before, but I feel like so many people with great style really love her stuff. Maybe I'll have to look into it.
Cheers,

You'll have to tell us all about the location. I had no idea there was a little part of Manhattan that has little English shops. I'd love to go and see it. Your dress is so cute and so very you:) I also love the backdrop of your photographs too:)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, that is one seriously awesome novelty print dress! I have had a crush on Kath's offerings for many years now, but do not own of her pieces (I've never seen them for sale in Canada and with the currency exchange + shipping + import to Canada, I just haven't bitten the bullet there and ordered online). I've quite literally put them on birthday and Christmas lists before, but no dice yet. Hopefully one day and in the meantime I'll just live my dreams of a Kath dress vicariously through you here, gorgeous gal!

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely dress!! I have seen Cathy's stuff before and admired it greatly, but have not gotten any myself. I will be adding this to a very long wish list. I look forward to seeing and reading more of your adventures.
