After that glorious vintage train ride we walked around Rockefeller Center and showed the kiddies the wondrous sprinkles of Christmas in Manhattan. We saw large displays of Christmas lights and ornaments, trees sparkling with lights, Radio City Music Hall, large statues of Christmas wooden soliders, and of course the famous Christmas tree.
It was a really pretty day and it wasn't that cold which I was grateful for. I'm so glad we got to show our children a bit of the city during Christmastime and the they had fun. I also loved showing my children the Church we were married in, St. Patrick's Cathedral. My favorite part of the day was the vintage train but theirs was getting a free chocolate at a local Lindt store. Go figure. Chocolate always wins at the end of the day.
Have you walked around your town lately during the holiday season? Isn't it nice to rediscover your city or town especially during the holidays?
Thank you for sharing your holiday joy with us. Your kids are adorable. Here's wishing you a very happy Christmas.
ReplyDeleteNo one does Christmas like New York City! I swear!
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes! We've done this too! Though we haven't rediscovered, as we just moved, so we're discovering! I keep meaning to blog about it myself!
