How To Say Merry Christmas To The Vintage Nerd In Your Life

What to get the vintage nerd in your life? BOOKS of course! Feeding the brain is a good thing!

There are so many fabulous vintage inspired books out there but I chose five that you many want to gift another vintage nerd or perhaps you may add one of these to your Christmas wishlist?!

First suggestion is a book that includes tips from the 1960's and 1970's on how to be popular. This book has super cute illustrations and you really get a feel of those times. It's super cute and who doesn't want to be more popular, right?

You can find a copy of How to Be Popular: Everything you need to know, and more! here.
How to Be Popular
This book about the life and times of one beauty guru, Helena Rubinstein is available on pre-order via Amazon and has received some pretty rave reviews. You can snag yourself a vintage copy of Helena's book My Life For Beauty (which I own and will be reviewing soon) but if you simply cannot wait to find a copy, I say this book is a keeper. Learning more about her life and how she became the toast of society all while inspiring women to look their very best. A must have!
Helena Rubenstein
Another must have for the vintage nerd in your life-oh this book is simply beautiful (and another I will be reviewing soon). I found it visually appealing and it really can inspire you to be your vintage best. Also, a fun part of the book is that you may find some of your favorite vintage bloggers spotlighted at the end of the book! You can grab your copy here.
Wearable Vintage Fashion
This beauty is on my Santa wishlist. It covers fashion in 35 films spanning the 1920's to the 1960's. Can we say a vintage nerd's dream come true??! It is available in hardcover here.
Classic Hollywood Style
Last but certainty not least is a person who is slowly becoming one of my favorite designers ever! The great Edith Head gives spectacular advice on how to dress your very best and enhance the figure you have with the right clothes. I think one cannot go wrong with heeding the advice of Edith Head. I mean she did dress Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly!!?

Swoon! I just added this beauty to my wishlist as well!! Get your copy here.

This is just a little list on what you can get for your vintage nerd in your life or perhaps someone can get it for you!

What would you add to this list??

  1. Fabulously fun reading and wishlist!!! Many a Christmas (and birthday) I've asked Tony for books on my wishlist (and I'm happy to say, he's usually listened like a dear and given me just that). I know that, after having bought the 1940s version this summer, the 1920s and 1930s Fashion: The Definitive Sourcebook tomes are two that I'd really love to add to my bookshelves anytime.

    ♥ Jessica

  2. A great list. Will look forward to reading some of these.

  3. God, the Green dress is splendid !

  4. I'm so glad you all liked the list!!! I hope you all get oodles of vintage inspired books from Santa this year!!! xox
