Being Pretty In Pink With The Revlon Legacy Collection

This weekend was a double score here for this vintage nerd. A beauty day at Ulta (HERE) and then a huge score. What did I score? You better believe it...I found every single shade of lipstick from the Revlon Legacy Collection at a local store! I could not believe my eyes when I saw them there in their special display box. It seems Revlon only sent this store two lipsticks of each shade. There were nine when I found them and four left when I was done shopping.

Gahhhhh! I am so happy! Why is this such a big deal for me? Well, I have always been a lipstick sort of person. I don't normally wear makeup everyday but the thing I do put on aside from moisturizer is lipstick. And then when I found out that Revlon was going to reissue shades from 70-60 years ago, well you know I really had to find them. And find them I did!

After I spoke to the Revlon customer service (HERE) they told me I would find them at my local Walgreens, Ulta, or CVS. Then in conversation my husband informs me that Walgreen's owns Duane Reede (my hubby is into business/finance topics) and I thought-why not try and look there?!

So I am saying now, try your local Duane Reede! You never know! I still cannot believe I have all five of the shades in my grasp. I love each of them but I love some more than others. To get in the spirit of spring, although it seems eons away, I wore this beauty of a dress from the 1940's. It is just perfect for that in between weather from March to April. I will be wearing it to an outing soon so you will be seeing more of it.

If you are looking for some shades here are some places on Ebay that I found sells them: One Last Touch, Lacquerista, and Premier_Finds. I hope those of you looking for these shades have found them and that you have been finding my posts about this special line helpful.

  2. Snow peach! Looks fab on you. I think maybe Sandstorm and Jungle Peach are the two that stand out the least, but they're lovely too! Well done. We aren't getting them here in the UK, I feel a bit sad about that! P x

  4. I love that you found them and made it a mission to do so! Congratulations, they all look so wonderful on you. You might think I would say Fifth Ave Red, but I'm kinda digging the Snow Peach. Do you have a favorite color? I like that you bought all five. If I find them, I think I'm going to do the same thing as mixing and matching is so much fun. Icy Violet looks also so lovely. Gosh, now I want to hop in my car and find them!

  5. Snow Peach takes my top vote, but - lucky you (there's no way they'd all work with my colouring) they really and truly do each look smashing on you, sweet dear.
