Polaroids and Bunnies

Yesterday I mentioned using my new camera, the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 on my anniversary date with my husband. And here it is!

I grew up with my father using a Polaroid camera and as a result my childhood photos are in Polaroid format.

When I saw this camera on Amazon, memories of that 1970s Polaroid came flooding back and I knew I had to try it out. I have wanted one for a while but when I saw the vibrant colors this one came in, I went for it!

The Instax is super easy to use. You place the batteries inside (they come with the purchase), you turn it on by pressing the button on the side of the lens. When the lens pops up that means it is on, when you close the lens it is off. You can turn the dial on the lens for the lighting you choose. And the button on the right of the camera is where you press to take the photo.

I purchased a close up lens in the shape of a Bunny, but of course. This lens helps you take close ups better as well as selfies. It easily snaps in the front lens and can be removed easily as well.

I watched this easy-to-follow tutorial on how to put in the film HERE and it helped oodles! At the back of the camera it shows you how many photos you have left. It is so easy peasy to use. I love it!

Have you ever used a Polaroid? Do you have fond memories of them like I do? Isn't this camera adorable?

  2. That is so cute!! And I love fun cameras!

I haven't used a Polaroid in years, we mostly shoot 120 film with our vintage cameras.
