Springtime at Chiller

About once or twice a year I attend an event called Chiller Theater usually with my husband and my brother and his girlfriend. My brother and I share a bond of our love of film and television so this event is the one thing we make sure to do together if we can. The event is basically an opportunity and meet and greet actors and the like from yesteryear and now. You get a blend of retired performers to very popular actors like the cast of Sons of Anarchy.

Typically I wear vintage to these events but this year I decided to wear one of my eShakti dresses paired with my new Boden cardigan. I think it is one of my favorite outfits as the dress was cotton. It was easy to wear and easy to move around in as I chased after my children. I paired it with my vintage moonglow, vintage yellow stud earrings, Doctor Who brooch, and yellow headband. If you haven't already you can watch my little impromptu video showing how I put together my outfit for this event HERE.

There were so many cool things for kids to see like this display of the Little Shop of Horrors life size puppet. They allowed the children to take photos with them and we met some puppeteers and artists who worked for Jim Henson. One puppeteer even did a little show them. Everyone was so nice. Don't you just love Audrey!?

Being the cinephile that I am I was eager to meet James Darrin (Gidget) and William Katt (The Greatest American Hero) and I did! I have to admit I was nervous. I usually am pretty cool about these things but I was chatting up with Moondoggie himself...swoon! William Katt is not only known for being a superhero in the 80's but also being the star of Pippin on Broadway. I always love listening to him sing Corner of the Sky on YouTube. It makes my heart sore. It was out of this world to tell him that in person.

My brother and I grew up watching some interesting and fun shows in the 70's and 80's and one of the was Land of the Lost. We met some of the cast and that was heaps of fun.

Check out some of the past Chiller events I attended:

Have you ever been to an event like this? If you could meet anyone in person who would it be and why?
