10th Annual Jazz Age Lawn Party with Unique Vintage

I have attended the Jazz Age Lawn Party before but I have never worked the event. So when Unique Vintage offered me the opportunity to represent them and I was more than happy (and super excited) to do so.

I worked along side Paper Moon Photography so while people lined up to have their photos taken at the iconic paper moon image I offered them an array of beautiful accessories to use for their photo. The accessories were supplied by Unique Vintage and guests attending the event could also sign up to win a gift card!

The ladies and gents that I spoke to and mingled with were all so warm and friendly. It was wonderful to be able to interact with vintage lovers. As a blogger you don't often get the chance to speak with people who enjoy what you enjoy and in my case its vintage.

For the event I wore this stunning 1930's blue floral chiffon dress. I can honestly say after attempting to dress up 1930's a few times in the past, this is the very first time that I felt so comfortable and pretty dressing in this decade and it is all because of this beautiful dress!  I really felt dazzling in it.

I paired up my dress with a paper umbrella from Luna Bazaar, some earrings from Charlotte Russe, and hair flowers from Claire's (which were pinned at the bottom of my hair).

There were a slew of activities around the area from vintage sellers, food trucks, a bar, dance lessons, and a pie contest!

Towards the end of the event when things were winding down a bit I told those wore the Unique Vintage accessories during their shoot with Paper Moon Photography to swing by at a certain time (after they shared their photo wearing the accessory) and they could win one. The first four ladies who came you can see in the photo below. They were so darn sweet and they loved their new goodies thanks to the generosity of Unique Vintage. Don't they all look beautiful!!?

I also had the joy of working with Clara, who was the photographers assistant for the day. Didn't she looks fabulous? She wore pure 1930's vintage and every inch of it was stunning. Additionally, I met the ultra adorable Kristina from Twee Valley High blog. She was absolutely a joy to hang out with.

The day was truly a incredible adventure. I had the chance to meet a heap of nice people who loved vintage as much as I do, I got to know some wonderful ladies like Clara and Kristina, and better still I got to work for Unique Vintage for the day. Because of them and their beautiful dress I truly felt like a 1930's film star!

  3. Oh Daffny, you look radiantly spectacular! From your hair to your flowing dress, this whole outfit is a vision of loveliness and looks incredibly great on you. Don't be shy to wear 20s/30s outfits more, my dear, I think this clearly proves that they can be flat out amazing on you!!!! (Plus, I have to say, I love how much you stood out, in the best kind of way, in darker colours amongst the sea of creams, whites and ivories - tres chic!)

  7. This looks like such an amazing time! You look absolutely gorgeous, as do all of the lovely deco dames that were in attendance. I've known about this event for a couple of years now, and I'm determined to make it to the festivities next year! I've only been to New York once, and it was a great experience, so I would love to get to do something as fun and unique as this.
