June Links To Love

I love discovering old scandalous or historic news stories. This month I found a few that really peaked my interest like the one about the Coney Island babies or the one about the woman who hide her lover in her attic away from her husband for years. My jaw kind of dropped after reading that one. I researched a little more after I read that article because the story just seems too unbelievable but its real. Let me know what you think after you read it.

  1. What a fantastic assortment of links, Daffny. From the eye-opening (the Boardwalk Babies, for example) to the beautiful (that amazing heirloom wedding dress), this was such a diverse and sincerely enjoyable reading session. Thank you very much for rounding these great stories up for us.

Wishing you and your family a sunny, fun filled month of July.

    xoxo ♥ Jessica

  2. New life goal: be a beautiful 1930s tomboy!

You certainly unearthed some incredible stories here. The boardwalk babies are fascinating. I suppose it is the equivalent of a modern doctor funding something new with a reality TV deal? And the attic lover...wow. It makes me think, for one thing, how weird that the husband never went to the attic. We are so used to a modern idea that everyone lives in their house fully, but for people from an era used to servants and to wives doing all the housework, men might not venture into the attic, the cellar, the scullery, maybe even the kitchen! Still, if you thought you heard footsteps, surely you would check?
