Imagine being able to take a seat in this iconic chair? I got the chance when I last visited the TWA Hotel where they have heaps of vintage style areas to play around in. I have to be honest, getting out of this style of chair was not easy for me but it was really comfortable. I can definitely see it as the type of chair where I would want to bring a book and get cozy.

This Scandinavian aesthetic of space age furniture reminds me of the style of furniture created in the Swedish company, IKEA. Clean lines, simple styles, but with a retro edge. The ball chair was created in 1963 by Finnish furniture designer Eero Aarnio and the egg shaped chair was created in 1968 by Danish industrial designer Henrik Thor-Larsen. These style of chairs were the most popular in the sixties and can still be found in some furniture stores like, Modholic.

These style of chairs are a conversation piece and also incredibly timeless. They can transport you back to 1966 with ease and endless comfort all the while still be chic. What do you think about these sixties space age egg and ball chairs?

I couldn't help but think to myself how would I have managed back in 1987 if we were hit with a worldwide pandemic. Pandemics aren't anything new. We have them every so often but today with all the technology we have we can easily reach out to others. Back in 1987 when I was eleven our home didn't have cable and my biggest form of entertainment was reading, writing, and watching television (sans cable).

Despite the stresses we are all enduring at this time I am thankful that we can communicate with one another in so many different ways. You can still send something via snail mail but now there's Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Email, Messenger, and so much more. With all of these options we should keep the lines of communication open with one another as much as possible.

I want you all to know that no matter how busy my schedule is (homeschooling three kids has been an interesting adventure) I would love to hear from you. As cheesy as this may sound, remember that we really are in this together. Stay home, stay safe, and stay positive.

I confess that I am not Miss Suzy Homemaker in the kitchen but I am intrigued by recipes. I love the way different ingredients can come together and make something tasty.

One of the Old Hollywood recipes I am most intrigued to try out is one created by Audrey Hepburn called Spaghetti al Pomodoro. It looks easy peasy to make so I am game to trying it out soon. You can find the full recipe HERE as well as in her son Luca Dotti's book Audrey at Home: Memories of My Mother's Kitchen.

I discovered a slew of Old Hollywood film star recipes and even created a Pinterest board called Old Hollywood Recipes and you can check out HERE if you like. Old Hollywood actors were multifaceted people with a heap of talents. Why not add cooking to their list of skills?

Are there any recipes here that you would try? Do you know of other Old Hollywood Recipes that I should try?
