When you love vintage as much as we all do finding ways to incorporate this special love into your home can be tricky depending on the space you have and the lifestyle you live. If you have pets or children that can bring some challenges that are distinctive to having little hands and tiny paws rummaging through your vintage. If you have a small home then your challenges may come from finding intricate ways to decorate despite the smaller canvas to work with.
When it comes to the holidays especially a super fun one like Christmas, decorating can take on a life of its own. You have so many options when it comes to decorations. When my children were younger I decorated mainly in a Disney theme because it was cute and the children loved it. Now that they are a bit older I am finding that I can start making my decorating decisions based on my love for all things old.
Although my family supports my love of vintage I know they don't always want everything inside the home to be as old as our house itself. So I've been collecting bits and bobs here and there for a while and this year I finally found a nice balance between new retro inspired Christmas items and pure vintage Christmas items. I meshed the decor stash I had with some felt pieces, traditional colors of red and green, and a dash of rustic Christmas to create my own style that really gave my home a true vintage holiday glow.
How do you like to decorate your home for the holidays?
So many cute details!!!
