Exploring Films from The 1960's & 1970's

Lately I have been on a 1960's-1970's movie kick, especially British films. When I started watching more 1960's and 1970's films I realized that there were so many that I have never heard of. The ones I discovered aren't the popular ones like Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961) or The Graduate (1967) but films like The Collector (1965) and The Whisperers (1967).

One of the most exciting parts of delving into 1960's and 1970's films more is not only "discovering" films I have never seen but seeing performances from actors that brand new to me. Performances like Helmut Berger as Martin von Essenbeck from The Damned (1969), Sam Elliott as Rick Carlson in Lifesguard (1976), and Terence Stamp as Freddie in The Collector (1965).

Are you watching more films from a certain decade than others lately? What films could you recommend to me from the 1960's and 1970's?
