Lazy hot summer days. That is what I think of when I think of the summer. It's a time to catch up on life and finish up some projects. In the 1970's summer days were filled with short term jobs at the mall, beach, or local pool. They were filled with drive-in movies, hang outs with friends, and skateboarding through the neighborhood. It was a time before the internet, cable, and iPhones. Friends called each other on their land phones or a pay phone so they could make plans for the next day. Kids were outside playing for hours on end away from video games. It was a time when summer days truly felt care-free.
