Love her or hate her, Jane Fonda is an icon. Today she celebrates her 85th birthday and has recently gone into remission from B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. I am sure she must feel amazing to not only overcome a cancer diagnosis but also to reach such a great age.

Jane Fonda is not just an outstanding actress but a activist, fitness guru, mother, and grandmother. My favorite films of hers are Barbarella (1968), On Golden Pond (1981), and Agnes of God (1985). She could be cute and quirky, emotional and angry, focused and empathetic-Jane Fonda's range is wide and her talents boundless.

If you haven't seen any of her films, here are a few Jane Fonda films I think you might enjoy:

Barbarella (1968)
They Shoot Horses, Don't They? (1969)
Klute (1971)
The China Syndrome (1979)
The Electric Horseman (1979)
9 to 5 (1980)
On Golden Pond (1981)
Agnes of God (1985)
Our Souls at Night (2017)

If you enjoy her film you might like her show with Lily Tomlin called Grace and Frankie (2015-2022) which you can find on Netflix. And if you are interested in learning more about her you can check out her autobiography called My Life So Far.
  1. There isn't a film of Jane Fonda's that I haven't enjoyed. There is so much I admire about her but what I admire the most are the roles she choose to play. Happy 85th Birthday, Jane Fonda!
