Getting Extra Pretty Thanks to Ulta!

I recently decided that I needed to take some time out for myself every month and do something for me. It doesn't have to be big or cost a lot but I have been feeling the exhaustion of being a housewife and tending to three small children. Since my husband works two jobs and he works every day of the week the work load can become a little overwhelming at times. Add a disability and daily fatigue and yeah, I have recognized that I needed to take better care of myself. And it started this Saturday at Ulta.

Since I started my vintage journey in 2011 I have had three haircuts. The first was a disastrous 1940's middy and the last two have been basically correcting that first haircut. Needless to say I have been lightly worried about getting a haircut but I knew I had to get one soon. My ends were super dry and the shape was doing nothing for me.

I looked into my local Ulta store and found that not only do they sell amazing beauty products that range from top of the line and expensive to less expensive but they also have a hair salon, they do facials, and they have brow shaping at their Benefit counter. Not to mention that these services are priced really reasonable. I decided to go for it. I worked with an amazing hairdresser named Delisia who was so attentive to me and did a fantastic job-see for yourself!

I also had my eyebrows reshaped at the Benefit counter and a free mini makeover using the products from Benefit. I love my eyebrows so much more now and the makeup was lovely. It didn't feel heavy and let's just say after I finish off the MAC makeup I have now I am going to convert to Benefit completely. I will definitely post about their products as soon as I get some more in my grasp.

Have you been to Ulta? Have you ever tried any Benefit products?

  2. Your hair looks amazing, and I love what they did with your eyebrows! Perfect!
I am always really attracted to Benefit counters, because of their vintage vibe, but I haven't found any of their products that I'm completely in love with... having said that though, I'm always up for trying new things!

  5. It's a breathtakingly beautiful cut!!! Hands down my favourite you've ever shared with us here. Congratulations, honey! A stellar haircut like this is worth its weight in gold. I'm so happy for you and hope that you have lots of great future cuts with that stylist, too.
