Celebrate TCM's 20th Anniversary!

A Vintage Nerd, Vintage Blog, TCM Anniversary

The Turner Classic Movie channel is celebrating its 20th Anniversary on April 14th! Also known as TCM, this channel has been a haven for those who are enamored with classic films. Usually hosted by the debonair Robert Osborne, TCM showcases all sorts of classic film and even films made as recently as the 1980's and 1990's (on special occasions). Tcm believe what ones deems as a classic film should be up to them but the channel does focus primarily on films from the 1930's-1960's.

During the next few days leading up to their big Anniversary they will be hosting a few special things. There will be 20 TCM Fans actually hosting a film of their choosing between April 7-11. You can read more about who is hosting and what time as well HERE.

On April 14th they will air the first four films their originally aired 20 years ago as well as a Private Screenings: Robert Osborne Special. That same day there will also be a special called Best of TCM: 20 Classic Moments. There will also be special coverage from the Classic Film Festival as well!

Just a whole slew of amazing things to watch on TCM from now until April 13th (and beyond in my opinion). They also created a lovely video to help in the celebrations. You can see it HERE if you like.

If you don't have TCM as a channel you can always enjoy it HERE on Youtube. I know I do!

  1. Super cool!!! Hard to believe that TCM has been around for 2/3s of my life (and 1/3 of the time I've been with Tony).
