Top Must Watch Night Gallery Episodes

After introducing my children to the original Twilight Zone tv show which I shared HERE, I decided to further our experience and watch Rod Serling's Night Gallery which ran from 1971-1973. Like The Twilight Zone , it is also an anthology series. This series includes 36 episodes that were written by Serling himself. Tragically Serling passed away just two years after the show ended in 1975 at age of 50 from a heart attack. 

Before every Night Gallery episode Serling walks through an art gallery surrounded by eerie paintings. He briefly introduces the story and then the audience takes a view of a painting that represents a the episode and then the story begins to unfold. The stories are a little darker and edgier than The Twilight Zone. Some where better than the others so I thought I would put together a list of my favorite Night Gallery episodes. 

Instead of sharing a photo from the episode I thought I would share photos of the painting that the represented the episodes. Some were creepy, some were surprising, and others where spectacular. Serling really knew how to cast his episodes. There were guest stars from Old Hollywood like Burgess Meredith, Sandra Dee, Joan Crawford, Leslie Nielsen, Kim Hunter, and Cesar Romero just to name a few. Have you ever watched Night Gallery?
